Sentry 1

Sentry 1
Earth discovers we are not alone. We also learn some of those others are not too nice. Sentry 1 was the first of ten outposts to monitor our space. Not too much to look at but it's eyes and ears were top shelf. It orbited Mars for 23 years and was destroyed during the Mars Riots.

Ed 615

Ed 615
Earth Dock 615 in Saturn orbit works on Friendship 9 Deep Space Scientific Explorer. The TFI bots make short work of repairs or restocking. Friendship 9 is the flagship of the White Star Explorer Class earth ships and the first not to use the Centrifugal Gravity system. TFI comes through again leading the way to tomorrow.

TFI Bots

TFI Bots
The worker guild calls them “Bugs” or “Toot’s Scoots”. Just one of the many things TFI makes in the 23rd Century. Here Bot #1 maneuvers close to the gridwork for the new Dock Uriiha Kah being assembled on the frontier.

Master Skeg

Master Skeg
Master First Class welder and Bug Jockey Skeg puts his touch on one of the bridgework used on Uriiha Kah as Toots XXVII watches and illuminates the work area.

Sigma 9 (Lightside)

Sigma 9 (Lightside)
The first out of system colony. 500,000 colonists call it home.

Orbis City

Orbis City
The second colony Orbis City floated in the thick atmosphere of Taos. It's beauty lead to 8 more floating colonies and eventually to Coeur de l'homme, the largest of the Taos cities where 5,000,000+ humans live.

Price of Discontent

Price of Discontent
The Coeur de l'homme on Taos is home to over 5 million humans. It’s beauty is not rivaled on this side of the frontier. 10 miles across it generates its power as it floates along by using generators that hang below a thermocline in the thick atmosphere and builds great charges of power. Noted for its peacefulness as well as it’s beauty until the Separationists destroyed one of its agricultural satellites.

“Pew de mort” (Little death)

“Pew de mort” (Little death)
( Inspired by Electron Chaser from the Misfit Squirrels website) Rogue took aim at Sentalac and what transpired was a silent deadly cataclysmic event that contained both beauty and horror. An event so big it looked to be a slow motion show played out over weeks. The once beautiful Sentalac was eventually transformed into a shrouded barren cinder devoid of all life. Still, while it’s former beauty was gone, the writhing coils of super heated gas and terra held a different beauty for the distant viewer.

Encountering the Shen

Encountering the Shen
One of the first alien encounters was the visits by the Shen. Not truly visits they sent their devices to contact us using inter-dimensional portals. The appearance of a portal was usually announced by what can only be described as glass wind chimes and the Shen voices are of song quality. They are now frequent visitors and always welcome.

Gunboat Taunta Ri’ and Attack Sub Cyclops

Gunboat Taunta Ri’ and Attack Sub Cyclops
With the terraforming of Mars almost complete Mars Regulars and Mars Secessionist's meet at the mouth of Bradbury River and the Sea of Lycol to head off the "first" of the Mars Riots. They were not successful. Mars lived up to it’s namesake for the next 10 years

Send in the Clones

Send in the Clones
Jump technology would elude us for many centuries. Not so for the Nebba^Suris. Nebbies are not always welcome on other planets, they are often greeted with a warning and asked to “move along”.

TFI MiniMags race on Cete’ Ros

TFI MiniMags race on Cete’ Ros
If you have ever seen the ancient Gee Bee airplane racers from back in the 1950’s (yikes!) you would have an idea of what this is about. They were all engine flying machines. TFI produced these little magnetic beauties so the miners on this ball of iron called Cete’ Ros would have some thing to do on their off time. It became so wildly popular the sign-up roster for duty on Cete’ was full in a couple of months. Today there is a tourist trade booming on the Iron Ball just because of MiniMag racing. TFI has had to ramp up production of the little beasties because it is becoming as popular elsewhere and Los Timor is importing tons of asteroid iron just to construct a track.
